Formerly known as CC - The Calculus Calculator, this is a broadly inclusive and easy-to-use mathematics tool. Runs in real mode, limited by available conventional memory. Features include (from the docs):
- trigonometric, exponential and logarithmic functions
- real and complex numbers
- hexadecimal and binary numbers
- exact fractions and huge integers
- strings
- Algebraic simplification
- Graph curves, polar and parametric curves
- Graph surfaces, parametric surfaces, space curves and matrix data
- Solve equations and systems of equations
- Define implicit functions
- Differentiate and integrate functions
- Perform vector and matrix calculations including eigenvalues and eigenvectors and statistical operations
- Collect data into lists and perform statistical operations
- Save and load data from external files
- Print calculations, results and graphs
- Write Pascal-like functions and procedures using X(PLORE)'s powerful mathematical and graphing operators.
From the author:
X(PLORE) for DOS is a small, fast program that will run effectively on any 486 or greater CPU. I have run this program successfully on all versions of Windows through NT4.0 and 98. This is the original 1993 Prentice Hall X(PLORE) that is limited to 640K of memory. Later DOS versions that use extended memory unfortunately do not run under the most recent incarnations of Windows 98 or Windows NT.
